§ 2-53. Order of business.

  • The order of business shall be as follows:

    (1)

    Call to order by presiding officer;

    (2)

    Pledge of Allegiance to flag;

    (3)

    Roll call;

    (4)

    Establishment of quorum;

    (5)

    The reading and approval (with corrections and additions, if any) of the journal of the proceedings of the previous meeting or meetings;

    (6)

    Public discussion and/or comments from the floor;

    (7)

    Reports and communications from the president and other officers:

    a.

    Attorney;

    b.

    Engineers;

    c.

    Board of appeals;

    d.

    Plan commission;

    e.

    President;

    f.

    Treasurer;

    g.

    Clerk;

    (8)

    Report of standing committees: finance, water and sewer, cemetery, law and order, garbage, local improvement, and streets and alleys;

    (9)

    Report of special committees;

    (10)

    Petitions, communications, orders, resolutions and ordinances by the trustees;

    (11)

    Unfinished business;

    (12)

    Public discussion and/or comments from the floor;

    (13)

    Adjournment.
